Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently announced that there will be no new models this year and that the previously announced Tesla Semi-Truck and Cybertruck will be postponed to 2023 as the production ramp-up of currently existing models has absolute priority. It makes no sense to bring new models onto the market if you can't build enough of the existing ones, said Elon Musk recently.
But now the same Elon Musk is tweeting that the 800-kilometer version of the semi-truck will be delivered this year. This is the so-called "500-mile version", which is the version with the larger battery capacity. As an alternative, there should be a “300-mile version” (480 km), according to the Tesla website.

Elon Musk has repeatedly said that the semi-truck's huge batteries will require the new 4680 cells, which are not currently being produced in large quantities. Elon Musk recently said that large quantities of the new 4680 cells should be available by the end of the year. The prerequisite for the start are therefore sufficiently available battery cells.
The size of the batteries in the semi-truck is not yet known. The large variant is currently assumed to have a battery capacity of around 1000 kWh. The net capacity will probably be a little lower.
