The Tesla Model S Plaid has long had an impressive top speed of 322 km/h listed in the configurator. But it's only in the fine print of the pop-up menu that you learn that this requires paid hardware upgrades. Those familiar with the subject know that this means the Track Package, which is now finally available.
Last Thursday, Tesla announced on Twitter that the Track Package will be available for the Tesla Model S soon. In the video posted for it, you could see how the speedometer display actually reached the said 322 km/h. Shortly thereafter, the package was available in both Tesla's US and German webshops. It can be found under "Model S Accessories" and mainly includes forged 20-inch aluminum wheels, tires suitable for race tracks, the matching software and carbon-ceramic brake discs with matching calipers, pads and the corresponding brake fluid.

The Track Package also allows the top speed limit to be raised to 200 miles per hour (322 km/h). However, it automatically detects if the high-performance brakes are installed, and only if they are, the speed limit is lifted. According to Tesla's online store, the package will be available starting in June for "13,825-18,435 euros," depending on whether you want to buy just the brakes or the wheels and tires as well. Those who already own the compatible 21-inch "Arachnid rims" can save around 5,000 euros. However, the brake kit is not compatible with 19-inch rims.
The description explicitly mentions the improved brakes for the speed unlocking to 322 km/h, tires and rims must generally be "approved for this speed". As things stand, the 20-inch wheel-tire combination included in the kit is not yet approved in Germany. This is currently only approved for the racetrack.

Notice:
- Compatible with Model S vehicles, produced 2022+.
- Top speed of 322 km/h achievable with the carbon ceramic brake set, unified tires and rims approved for these speeds.
- Carbon ceramic brake kits are not compatible with 19-inch Tempest rims, but are compatible with 20-inch Zero-G and 21-inch Arachnid rims (sold separately).
- Goodyear Supercar 3R tires are not recommended for winter driving. Tesla recommends that these ultra-high performance summer tires not be used in temperatures below 5℃ or in snow/ice conditions. For track use only-not intended for use on public roads. Any use on public roads may be illegal and may void the vehicle's operating license or insurance. After installation, the customer is required to pick up their vehicle by truck or trailer at their own expense.
