Tesla Gigafactory Shanghai exports over 50,000 electric cars in October. A new record!

As TroyTeslike reports on Twitter, Gigafactory Shanghai exported a total of 54,504 Tesla, Model 3 and Model Y in October. The car association CPCA published this number on Tuesday. Domestically, Tesla sold 17,200 locally produced electric cars. Both together are below the total sales in September, in which Tesla reached its highest ever China value with 83,135 Model 3 and Model Y.

After the conversion of the Tesla, Model 3 and Model Y production lines in the summer of this year, the total capacity is now said to be more than 90,000 electric cars per month. When comparing the two figures, it is clear that the Gigafactory Shanghai was not fully utilized in October. Despite these numbers, October was the strongest quarterly start the Chinese Tesla factory has ever had.

The export of Tesla vehicles from Gigafactory Shanghai in China was higher than ever before. The previous high was reached this August at around 42,500 Model 3 and Model Y. So October was about 28 percent higher than the top month of August. This could be good news for Tesla buyers in Europe. According to a forecast by TroyTeslike, the export could be around 42,000 electric cars in November.
