Tesla introduces new version of the Model 3 Long Range in the USA

Tesla has launched a new version of the Model 3 in the USA: The Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive. This new configuration is significantly cheaper than the all-wheel drive version and offers an impressive range and powerful driving characteristics. After deducting the federal tax credit for electric vehicles, the vehicle even costs less than 35,000 US dollars.

Range and performance

The vehicle will also be offered in Puerto Rico, further increasing the global availability of the model. However, it remains unclear if and when this variant will be available on the German market. The Model 3 in Germany is imported from China, which could potentially delay the launch of this version.

Price advantages and additional savings

In addition to the attractive entry-level price, the new Model 3 benefits from additional savings thanks to the federal tax credit for electric vehicles amounting to 7,500 US dollars. Tesla The company is also factoring in potential fuel savings of 5,000 US dollars over five years, which could reduce the effective price of the vehicle to less than 30,000 US dollars. This makes the Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive one of the most affordable and powerful options on the market.

Technical improvements

The new version of the Model 3, also known as "Highland", features a revised exterior design with new headlights and an improved suspension. The minimalist interior has been further refined to offer an even more premium driving experience.

Conclusion and outlook

With the introduction of the Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive Tesla offers an affordable and powerful alternative in the electric vehicle market. Although it is currently unclear when this variant will be available in Germany, Tesla's approach shows that the company is striving to continuously improve its models and tap into new markets. For German customers, the hope remains that a comparable option will soon be offered here too, which could close the gap between the existing models.
