The Dutch company Derks Bedrijfswagens has transformed the Tesla Model 3 into a hearse, offering an environmentally friendly and silent option for the final journey. The so-called Tesla Hearse 3 was first presented in April 2022 and over 25 units have been delivered since then.
Extensive conversion for the final journey
For the conversion, the wheelbase of the Model 3 was extended from the original 2.88 meters to an impressive 3.74 meters. The design of the vehicle remains unchanged up to the B-pillar, but behind it has been completely redesigned. The roofline has been raised to make room for the coffin and the rear doors have been replaced by storage compartments. A large tailgate makes loading and unloading easier.
Luxurious interior with starry sky
In the interior, a wall with a window separates the cockpit from the load compartment. Particularly noteworthy is the LED starry sky on the ceiling of the load compartment, which can light up in different colors and creates a dignified atmosphere. Additional lighting elements in the side walls as well as stainless steel shelves and a special tensioning and roller system for the coffin complete the equipment.
Powerful and environmentally conscious
The Tesla Hearse 3 is based on the Model 3 Long Range AWD Dual engine and therefore has an output of 324 kW (440 hp). This enables a silent and emission-free journey to the final resting place. The price for this special conversion is 118,950 euros for a new vehicle.
