Agreement on fast charging stations (V4 Supercharger) between Tesla and EG Group!

Tesla has signed another important contract. This time an agreement has been reached with EG Group to expand its network of electric vehicle (evpoint) charging stations in the UK and Europe. As part of the agreement, EG Group plans to purchase Tesla's latest fast charging stations (V4 Superchargers) to expand the evpoint offering.

Rebecca Tinucci, Senior Director of Charging Infrastructure at Tesla, emphasizes the importance of rapidly deploying a reliable and user-friendly charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. She is pleased that Tesla is making its advanced fast-charging hardware available to EG Group and other industry leaders.

EG Group currently operates more than 600 electric vehicle charging stations and plans to expand the evpoint charging network to the impressive number of more than 20,000 EV charging stations by working with Tesla. By the end of 2024, the company aims to install the first Tesla charger at an evpoint station, enabling a further step into the future of electric mobility. Evpoint will remain accessible for vehicles of all brands.

Zuber Issa, founder and co-CEO of EG Group, sees securing the modern and highly reliable Tesla equipment as an important milestone for evpoint. This agreement is not only the first contract of its kind between Tesla and a European third-party charging station provider, but will also revolutionize the way customers interact with the charging network and EG Group.

EG Group has continuously invested in technology since installing its first charging station in 2012. Issa is confident that this very important agreement will accelerate the deployment of the necessary charging infrastructure to support a sustainable transition to electric mobility.

This is not the first agreement of its kind. For example, BP Pulse in the US has ordered $100 million worth of Tesla charging stations to be operated in an independent network. Ford, in turn, announced in October that it would integrate more than 15,000 Tesla Superchargers into its EV charging network called BlueOval Charge Network.
