Not only are the sales figures at Tesla increasing, but the expansion of the Tesla charging infrastructure is also continuously increasing. In a press release, Tesla is now reporting the next milestone for its own supercharger network in Europe. In the meantime, the number of 10,000 landing sites at around 900 locations has been exceeded. In the first nine months of 2022 alone, around a fifth of all superchargers on the continent have been reached, according to Tesla in its press release. Thus, the network of Tesla Superchargers, which is spread across 30 countries across Europe, has already grown more strongly in 2022 than ever before three months before the end of the year.
With the opening of six new locations with over 100 charging stations in the past few days alone, Tesla is consistently pushing ahead with the expansion of its European charging infrastructure. The new Superchargers in France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany make traveling across the continent even easier and more convenient. With a total of around 1,900 fast charging stations at 144 locations, Germany has the largest Tesla Supercharger charging network in Europe, followed by France (1500+) and Norway (1400+).
By opening up to third-party brands, the supercharger network is now also the largest public fast-charging network in Europe from 150 kW charging capacity, according to Tesla. “Our pilot, launched in November 2021, has continued to expand to new locations and countries to support our mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. Owners of third-party brands already have access to green electricity at over 4,600 superchargers at over 320 locations in 14 countries.
