Tesla Model S Plaid is coming to Germany! First VIN allocations.

Tesla Model S Plaid is coming to Germany! First VIN allocations.

Finally the time has come, the new Tesla Model S Plaid is finally coming to Europe. The first Model S and Model X orders were already placed at the end of 2020. Deliveries of these models have recently been pushed back again and again due to a lack of capacity. In the past few weeks, some Tesla Model S and Model X customers have been called again and again to ask whether they are ready to take their orders this year. In addition, in the past few weeks, the focus has once again been placed on ships from America when it comes to ship tracking. Yesterday evening, the first Model S customers posted in the Tesla Drivers and Friends Forum (TFF) that a delivery period is now stored in the Tesla account. This is already very limited and refers to most of the first week of December. Later in the evening and this morning, the first chassis numbers for the Tesla Model S were distributed. On the invoice, the delivery date for most customers is December 2nd, 2022.

According to current observations, a first ship appears to be heading towards Europe, partially loaded. The Glovis Crown is observed. She comes from New York/Newark already partly loaded and is in Philadelphia this morning. These used to be the well-known Tesla ports on the east coast, as both ports have good rail connections.

Apparently there are no specific delivery dates/partial invoices for current Model X orders. Since the first ship appears to be only partially loaded, we can expect further allocations in the next few days/weeks.
