Anyone who is concerned with the topic of electric cars, especially with the Tesla brand, cannot ignore the Tesla charging infrastructure. With its own Tesla Superchargers, Tesla is building its own charging infrastructure, which has not been found before. Just last November, Tesla reported 40,000 Superchargers worldwide. Now Tesla is announcing another milestone on Twitter. A total of 45,000 Tesla Superchargers are now available worldwide.
Tesla will not rest on its laurels, however, because it will continue to expand its own Supercharger network in the future. Existing locations will be supplemented with additional Superchargers and new locations will be found. Various new fast-charging stations are also planned for Germany. According to official data from the end of 2022, the Federal Republic has the largest Supercharger network in Europe with around 1900 fast-charging stations at 144 locations. Behind it come France (1500+) and Norway (1400+).
But it's not just Tesla drivers themselves who are benefiting from the expansion. In recent months, Tesla has been opening up more and more Superchargers to third-party brands as well. Most recently, existing Superchargers in the U.S. were converted to a new charging port closure so that they could also be opened to third-party brands.
