Tesla's Cybertruck gets more practical: jump seats and tailgate protection

Tesla is expanding the possibilities of its Cybertruck with two new accessories available exclusively to owners: a tailgate guard and rear-facing jump seats for the tailgate.

These are designed to improve the utility value and practicality of the vehicle, However, due to their price and the brand name, they have met with mixed reactions in some cases.

The tailgate protection made of hard-wearing material with the Cybertruck logo costs 300 dollars and protects the loading area from scratches and dents, for example when transporting bicycles or bulky equipment.

The Jump Seats on the other hand, are two additional seats, which are supplied in square housings and covered with Cordura nylon fabric and foam. Each seat costs 100 dollars and can be attached to the tailgate in combination with the tailgate guard.

However, the Jump Seats can only be used in conjunction with the tailgate protector, as they have to be clipped into this. This means that buyers would have to purchase both products together, to be able to use the Jump Seats, which increases the total price to 400 dollars.

Critics criticize the high price, especially for the tailgate protection, which seems excessive for a "bulletproof" truck. Its actual purpose is to protect the loading area when transporting objects.

To summarize, the new accessories for the Cybertruck do offer certain advantages in terms of functionality, but the high price and limited usability of the Jump Seats could deter potential buyers. We are curious to see how well both products will be received on the market!
