But not only the software of the car itself receives regular updates, but also the Tesla app is continuously updated. With the latest update, users can now plan routes already on their smartphone. The route planning option is located in the "Location" menu item and then in the "Navigate" submenu. Users can use the current location of the Tesla as the starting point or select any other location as the starting point and adjust it at any time. In addition, the battery level at the time of departure can be set to enable optimal route planning.
The app then searches out a suitable route and displays all the charging points required. Similar to route planning in a car, the app shows the battery level upon arrival at the destination and the required charging time at each Supercharger. A clear Google Maps map shows the suggested route. Tesla has also announced that a key card is no longer required to pair the phone as a key.
