Tesla Quarterly Update Q1 2025: All Information from the All-Hands Session

Tesla opens to the public – and sends strong signals for the future. In a premiere, Tesla broadcast its traditionally internal All-Hands Meeting live for the first time to the public. The event not only provided exciting insights into current developments but also highlighted where the journey for Tesla is headed – from robotics to autonomous driving to sustainable energy supply.

A milestone: Tesla streams All-Hands Meeting publicly for the first time

What was previously reserved only for employees of Tesla was now also experienced by Tesla fans and interested parties worldwide: The first public All-Hands Meeting. The focus was on Tesla's workforce, current successes, and a look into the future – very much in the style of Elon Musk, who moderated the event in his usual direct and charismatic manner.

Impressive numbers: What Tesla has already achieved

Tesla remains true to its growth path and presented some impressive figures:

  • Over 7 million Tesla vehicles sold worldwide
  • Giga Shanghai: 3 million vehicles produced
  • Giga Berlin: 660,000 drive units manufactured
  • Giga Nevada: 11,000 battery packs in one year
  • Giga New York: 160,000 NACS adapters produced
  • Pilot production of the humanoid robot Optimus started

With these figures, Tesla impressively underscores its global market leadership in electromobility – and the goal is clear: 10 million vehicles by next year.

Autonomous driving & Cybercab: The next level of mobility

A central theme of the meeting was Tesla's vision for autonomous vehicles. With the so-called Cybercab, Tesla plans a fully autonomous vehicle that should roll off the assembly line in just five seconds – made possible by a gigantic 50,000-ton gigacasting machine.

In parallel, the development of Full-Self-Driving technology (FSD) continues to advance. First vehicles are already moving independently across the Tesla factory grounds. Elon Musk is convinced: In five years, autonomous Teslas will be approved worldwide.

Optimus: Tesla's humanoid robot takes shape

Another highlight was Optimus, Tesla's humanoid robot. Production of the first units in Fremont has begun, with the goal of manufacturing around 50,000 units per year by the end of 2025. Optimus is based on the same technology as Tesla's vehicles and features 22 degrees of freedom in hand and forearm, making it particularly versatile.

Exciting: The internal Optimus testing phase will start at the end of 2026 for Tesla employees. After that, the robot is set to become available worldwide – and according to Elon Musk, it could become the “biggest product of all time.”

Energy & Infrastructure: Focus on Sustainable Abundance

Tesla remains committed to its mission of creating a sustainable future. In Master Plan Phase III, the overarching goal is: “Sustainable Abundance” – a world where energy is available and sustainable for everyone. To achieve this, Tesla continues to invest heavily in battery production, stationary storage solutions like Powerwalls and Megapacks, as well as the expansion of the Supercharger network – with charging speeds of up to 500 kW (Cybertruck) and 1.2 MW (Tesla Semi).

Dojo & Cortex: Artificial Intelligence on the Next Level

In the field of Artificial Intelligence, Tesla is also accelerating the pace. The in-house training platform Dojo is now active in Giga New York and Palo Alto, handling up to 10% of the training workload. This is complemented by the Cortex project, which is currently running on 50,000 active GPUs – with the goal of doubling this number soon.

Conclusion: Tesla is accelerating – in all areas

From electric vehicles to humanoid robots to AI-supported energy infrastructure – Tesla is rapidly evolving. Although the all-hands meeting did not contain groundbreaking news, it provided an impressive overview of Tesla's current successes and ambitious future plans.

The opening of such internal events to the public could become more frequent in the future – and shows: Tesla not only wants to be transparent, but also to inspire.
