Price increase for the Tesla Autopilot (FSD) in the USA!

Tesla remains optimistic with its Full Self-Driving (FSD) driver assistance system. Now Elon Musk has announced that the price of this system should increase. A price increase from 12,000 to 15,000 US dollars has been announced. According to Elon Musk's tweet, the price increase will come into effect on September 5, 2022. Whether there will also be a price increase in Europe is not yet known.

In the future, the hardware and software should enable the respective Tesla to drive completely independently. Tesla sees an enormous increase in value for the cars equipped with FSD.

In recent years there have been some price increases for the so-called Tesla FSD system. In July 2020, the price was increased from $7,000 to $8,000. In October 2020, the price increased to $10,000. As of January 2022, $12,000 is already due.

In the US, Tesla is already a step ahead and is making available a beta version of the FSD to select Tesla owners, which can recognize traffic lights, autonomously turn in both directions at intersections, negotiate roundabouts and enter and exit freeways. However, drivers must always be ready to intervene.

Tesla boss Elon Musk has been announcing for several years that autonomous vehicles will soon be on the roads. Tesla has not yet been able to meet the deadlines specified by Elon Musk, but the company is continuing to work on the technology so that it can soon be able to offer full self-driving.
