We have great news for our customers from Austria. There is a new staggered promotion, also called the e-mobility offensive, for wall boxes and intelligent charging cables. The funding offers will be valid for all applications submitted from February 2022 until March 31, 2023 (or as long as the budget is available). The Federal Ministry (BMK) made a total of 167.2 million euros available. The subsidy for your wall box or the intelligent charging cable is possible independently of the vehicle purchase. If you've been thinking about this for a while, it's worth being quick before the funding pot is empty.
Once you have decided on this funding, you must first register in order to then submit the application. After successful registration, the funding for the e-charging infrastructure is reserved for you. You then have up to 36 weeks to implement your project. The purchase of renewable energies is a prerequisite for receiving the subsidy.
Funding offers for private charging infrastructure:
Single or two-family house: A wall box or intelligent 3-phase charging cable is funded with a total of 600 euros per wall box or intelligent charging cable.
Apartment building: An intelligent, communication-capable wallbox is funded as a single system with a total of 900 euros per communication-capable wallbox.
Apartment building as part of a community facility: An intelligent communication-capable wall box with load management is funded with a total of 1,800 euros per communication-capable charging station as part of a community system.

In order to receive the subsidy, the wallbox must be installed by a specialist electrician. With a charging capacity ≥ 3.6 kVA (3.6 kW), the wall box must be registered with the network operator. When purchasing or installing the wallbox with a power of 3.68 kVA (approx. 3.7 kW), it is recommended to ensure that the wallbox has an interface so that power-reducing interventions can be carried out. Material and assembly costs (assembly costs only for permanently installed wall boxes) as well as the costs of the basic structural infrastructure for communal systems in an apartment building are eligible.
Funding offers for companies, local authorities and associations: Company charging infrastructure without public access
In the case of operational charging infrastructure, permanently installed charging stations (posts or wall boxes) that are not publicly accessible are funded. Mobile wall boxes and intelligent charging cables, on the other hand, are not funded.
It should also be noted here that the wallbox or pedestal must be installed by a specialist electrician and must be registered with the network operator for ≥ 3.6 kVA (3.6 kW). When purchasing or installing the wallbox with a power of 3.68 kVA (approx. 3.7 kW), it is recommended to ensure that it has an interface so that power-reducing interventions can be carried out. Material and assembly costs are also eligible.
The subsidy for the AC normal charging point is ≤22 kW 900 euros.
