Electric mobility is now also finding its way into the big car rental companies. After it became known last year that Hertz had ordered 100,000 Tesla Model 3 and that Tesla Model Y had also been added in the meantime, Sixt and Avis are now also advertising with the Tesla models in an electric offensive. Avis announced that Tesla models can be rented at almost 40 German stations in Germany. According to the Avis website, the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y are available for rent in the Long Range variant. The lessor Avis also advertises that short-term rentals (up to 28 days) include charging with Tesla Superchargers. But Sixt also followed suit and took up the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y for rent at some locations. As an alternative to the Model 3 and Model Y Long Range, Sixt also offers the Model 3 in the Standard Range variant for rental. However, Sixt is limited to fewer stations where customers can rent a Tesla model. According to Twitter, these models are currently only available in larger cities such as Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf, etc.
