Will Dolby Atmos come to the Tesla models in one of the next updates?

According to a rumor, Tesla will equip its vehicles with Dolby Atmos with one of the next updates or maybe even the Christmas update, according to the technology magazine BGR. Especially in connection with the announced Apple Music, the sound experience in Tesla models could be unique. The new software is designed to update the sound systems in all new vehicles and the more than 1 million Tesla vehicles already on the road. The sound quality can already be compared with expensive systems from renowned manufacturers, which are often found in premium vehicles. In fact, some of the automaker's Tesla audio engineers originally worked at B&O, as Elon Musk once tweeted. More recently, the US automaker also hired several audio engineers from Jawbone and Amazon Lab126.

The Tesla models are already equipped with a fantastic sound system. But like everyone else, Tesla is constantly working on improving its vehicles in order to offer its customers a high level of satisfaction and to remain on an equal footing with other manufacturers. A source told BGR that Tesla has been working with major record labels for months to bring Dolby Atmos to its vehicles. Once the software update is released, all Tesla vehicles will support Dolby Atmos.

According to information, Dolby Atmos is a surround sound technology developed by Dolby Laboratories. It expands the possibilities of existing surround sound systems by adding height channels so that sounds can be interpreted as three-dimensional objects. The technology was originally developed for commercial cinemas and then adapted for home theaters.
