Prices for Supercharger charging have recently dropped again after several increases last year. As recently as the beginning of May, there was a price reduction to around 40 cents per kilowatt hour at peak times. Last week, Tesla again lowered prices in Europe. This means that the cheapest Tesla Supercharger for Tesla drivers or members at the currently most favorable location in Winsen/Luhe is 34 cents per kilowatt hour during off-peak hours. Other locations are only slightly above this. In other EU countries, the price is currently around 30 cents per kilowatt hour. Rates vary by location and additionally between peak and off-peak hours. What is new is that the higher (but still very cheap in comparison) Supercharger rate now applies from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and has thus been moved back by two hours. During rush hour, the Supercharger rate is 4 to 6 cents per kilowatt hour higher, depending on the location.
In addition, electric cars from other brands can be easily charged at more and more Tesla Superchargers without any hassle. Tesla plans to fully open up its fast-charging network worldwide. Drivers of other brands pay slightly higher prices at the Supercharger stations, but can reduce them to Tesla level with a subscription for 12.99 euros per month.
At the beginning of May, Tesla had announced that there were more than 5,000 Supercharger locations worldwide. Previously, at Easter, there had been talk of 45,000 available pillars. The number of charging stations at the individual locations varies; according to the company's current information, there are an average of ten, and the trend is upward.
