Tesla's Robotaxi in focus - New video leads to speculation

Tesla has released a new video showing some footage of the interior of a previously unknown vehicle. Could this be an early concept for the interior of the Robotaxi? In recent years Tesla has been working on a vehicle that is designed from the ground up as a self-driving vehicle. The company calls it the "Robotaxi". CEO Elon Musk emphasizes that Tesla is still working on providing the promised self-driving functions for the vehicles delivered since 2016 via a software update. Not much is known about the vehicle, except that it will have no steering wheel or pedals and the design is reminiscent of a "Cybertruck".

Now Tesla has released a new video, in which Musk was not involved, to encourage shareholders to vote in favor of his $55 billion compensation package and the relocation of the company's headquarters to Texas.
The image shows a two-seater vehicle without a steering wheel and with a central display, as seen in current Tesla-vehicles. The seats differ from those in modern vehicles and are more similar to those in public transportation, e.g. trains.

Tesla plans to present its "Robotaxi" on August 8. The car manufacturer has recently accelerated the timetable for the vehicle and wants to launch it on the market as early as next year.
