Tesla has reintroduced its environmental bonus in Germany and is now offering a bonus of €6,000 on all variants of the Model Y. This measure is aimed at boosting sales of its electric vehicles and accelerating the global transition to sustainable energy.
Attractive prices for the Model Y
With the environmental bonus, prices for the Model Y from €38,990 for the basic version with rear-wheel drive. After deduction of the environmental bonus, the prices are as follows (incl. VAT and excl. destination and authority fees):
- Model Y Rear-wheel drive: from €38,990
- Model Y Maximum range rear-wheel drive: from € 42,990
- Model Y Maximum range all-wheel drive: from €48,990
- Model Y Performance all-wheel drive: from €53,990
The offer applies to orders for pre-configured vehicles from the immediately available vehicle stock with deliveries up to June 30, 2024.
Performance data of the Model Y
The different variants of the Model Y offer different performance data to meet the needs of different consumers:
- Model Y rear-wheel drive: 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, top speed 217 km/h, WLTP range 430-455 km
- Model Y Maximum range rear-wheel drive: 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, top speed 217 km/h, WLTP range 565-600 km
- Model Y Maximum range all-wheel drive: 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, top speed 217 km/h, WLTP range 533-565 km
- Model Y Performance all-wheel drive: 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, top speed 250 km/h, WLTP range 514 km
Conditions of the environmental bonus
The Tesla environmental bonus is only granted for pre-configured vehicles from the immediately available stock and not for self-configured vehicles. In addition, delivery must take place by June 30, 2024. Used vehicles are excluded from the offer and the bonus cannot be combined with other offers such as 0% or 1.99% financing.
Background to the price reduction
Tesla is facing a decline in sales figures for the Model Y confronted with. In the first five months of 2024, 39% fewer vehicles were sold than in the same period last year. To counteract this trend, the Tesla reintroduced the scrapping premium, which corresponds to a price reduction of around 13 percent.
