Tesla Opens its own techno club "Hamster" in Gigafactory Grünheide

Tesla is once again causing a stir, but this time not with a new vehicle model or innovative technology, but by opening its own techno club called "Hamster" in its Gigafactory in Grünheide, Brandenburg. This unique facility was created by Tesla-plant manager André Thierig on the social network Linkedin.

Unique party location in the Gigafactory

The new "Hamster" club in the Tesla-factory offers employees an extraordinary opportunity to party right at their workplace. In a video that Thierig shared on Linkedin, colorful laser beams, a DJ, dancing people and an illuminated tunnel can be seen, underlining the modern and futuristic ambience of the club. "Hamster is now alive!", Thierig proudly announced and asked the community: "Do you know a factory that has its own club?"

Fulfillment of Elon Musk's vision

This new facility is the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream of Elon Musk. Back in 2020, Musk had already tweeted that Tesla should have a "mega rave cave" under the Gigafabrik in Berlin. His idea of creating a techno club with an epic sound system and huge bass speakers was supported by over 90 percent of the more than 770,000 users who took part in a Twitter poll. Now this dream has become a reality.

Exclusive parties for employees

According to reports in the "Märkische Oderzeitung" and other sources, the "Hamster" only allows Tesla-employees are allowed to party. However, it is not yet clear how often parties will take place. The opening of the club shows Tesla's commitment to creating a modern and attractive working environment that goes beyond the mere production of electric vehicles.

Elon Musk's connection to the techno scene

Elon Musk is no stranger to the Berlin club scene. During a visit to Berlin in April 2022, he was spotted in well-known clubs such as "KitKat" and "Sisyphos". Musk is also said to have stood outside the legendary "Berghain", although it remains unclear whether he overcame the club's notorious door policy.

Further expansion of the Gigafactory

While Tesla is making positive headlines with the opening of the club, the company is also pursuing ambitious expansion plans for its only European factory. Despite considerable concerns from environmentalists and local residents Tesla applied for an expansion of production capacity. The Brandenburg State Office for the Environment has now given this expansion the green light, as we previously reported.

Conclusion

With the opening of the "Hamster Tesla once again demonstrates its innovative strength and willingness to take unconventional paths. The new techno club in the Gigafactory Grünheide is another example of how Tesla attempts to create an attractive and inspiring working environment for its employees. It will be exciting to see how often and to what extent the club is used and what other surprises are in store. Tesla surprises in store for the future.
