When Tesla unveiled the new Model 3also known as Highlandwith an updated design, only the rear-wheel drive and dual motor long range versions of the Model 3 were launched on the market. The versions designed for the old Tesla Model 3 is currently not available in any configurator. Nevertheless, new leaks have been raising hopes for some time that the current Model 3 could also receive a top version. Last week, it was more or less unofficially confirmed that the car manufacturer is planning a new performance version of the Model 3 Highland which features new stickers in the updated Tesla parts catalog. Tesla has also updated the renderings in its app with new sport seats that are likely for the new Model 3 Performance.
Now there is another recent cause for speculation that there could soon be a new top version. At a Supercharger in North America, a partially masked Model 3 with new sports seats was spotted. The sports seats have a bucket-shaped design and look much sportier than the previously known Tesla seats. Despite the camouflage, you can also see that the front lip has indeed been redesigned. It is now pretty clear that the new Model 3 Performance will have different hardware. In contrast to all the visual observations, there is still no information on what performance the new top version of the new Tesla Model 3 will have.
