Tesla is already known for a fast and widespread expansion of its own Supercharger network. To make the waiting time during charging as pleasant as possible, Tesla has already had numerous apps developed for its models, including Netflix, YouTube and various video games. Those who pay about 10 euros per month and thus have purchased the so-called premium connectivity can use unlimited LTE access with their car, but this requires reception and a good connection. The access cannot be used as a hotspot.

As early as 2021, Tesla CEO Elon Musk promised to offer WLAN at charging stations to ensure a stable Internet connection. Tesla wants to implement the Starlink satellite Internet system. This refers to the satellite-based Internet provided by SpaceX, which enables reliable and fast web surfing. Already in the USA, many Supercharger stations have been equipped with the Starlink system. The Twitter user reports speeds of over 130 Mbps. But it is not only in the USA that the Starlink expansion seems to be progressing, because we ourselves have already been able to discover Starlink in Germany, for example, at the Lauenau site (on the A2) and the Schkeuditz site (on the A9).
