Save the Date! The next big Investor Day is coming up. The date is scheduled for March 1 and will take place at Gigafactory Texas (Tesla's newest Gigafactory next to Gigafactory Berlin). On Wednesday night (European time), Elon Musk released the typical invitation poster for the event, calling it Investor Day, after the past Battery Day and AI Day.
Likewise, in his tweet on Twitter, he shares that during the event the third part of his master plan will be presented, a kind of project that Tesla has been following since 2006, when the first part was published. At that time, the steps indicated referred to the construction of the first Roadster, which later became the Model S and then again the Model 3 was to lead to the Model S. The second part of the master plan included solar roofs and storage batteries, even greater production of electric cars and, finally, autonomous driving and a car that makes a profit for the owner by, for example, autonomously transporting people when it is not needed, like a robot cab. The last two points of his master plan have not yet been fully implemented and are still under development.
Nevertheless, Elon Musk already wants to move on to part 3 of his plan, and the background image of the invitations might hint at the theme. What looks somewhat insignificant at first glance, when the image is enlarged, reveals many closely spaced and endlessly repeated Tesla chassis. This suggests that Tesla may be focused on increasing production to bring the number of vehicles to 2 million per year. To that end, we know that the Nevada plant will soon be expanded, that the China plant will reach unprecedented scale, and that a new plant will most likely be built in Mexico as well. Additionally, it could suggest that Tesla could produce even higher volumes with an even smaller and even more affordable model for the masses. Furthermore, it reveals that the path to a fully sustainable energy future for the planet will be unveiled. Like the last few events, this one will also feature a livestream.
