In one of his latest posts on X, Elon Musk has announced the latest information on the next generation of the Tesla Roadster. According to his post, the final design will now be completed by the end of the year, followed by a market launch in 2025. The delays are due to the expansion of the design goals for the new Roadster, Musk explained on the X platform (formerly Twitter). He emphasized that the vehicle will be unique and may not even be called a "car" anymore. Despite the original announcement for 2020 and several postponements, Musk assured that next year would finally be the launch date for the long-awaited vehicle.
The new Roadster promises impressive performance on a par with a super sports car. This includes acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h in around one second and a top speed of over 400 km/h. This is made possible by a large 200 kWh battery pack, which is designed to power the Roadster over long distances. In addition, the new Roadster will be offered in various versions, including with engines from Musk's aerospace company SpaceX. This collaboration enables the introduction of innovative technologies that make the Roadster barely resemble a conventional car.Tonight, we radically increased the design goals for the new Tesla Roadster.

There will never be another car like this, if you could even call it a car.
Tesla's first Roadster, which was produced from 2008 to 2012, was partly based on components from Lotus. The new generation, on the other hand, will be based entirely on Tesla technology and will be available as a four-seater for the first time. Despite Musk's ambitious goals, it remains to be seen whether these promises can be kept. Despite years of delays, the Roadster could now be within reach. However, another important electric car from Tesla is likely to come onto the market by 2025, as a smaller car from Tesla has been under discussion for some time.
