What information is available about the new major software update 2023.32? The first release notes from "notateslaapp" give an insight into what is coming and what changes Tesla owners can expect. The new update is already being rolled out to the first vehicles and is thus ready for installation. Here we give a first overview of some of the new features that will be included in the update 2023.32.
- Video post-processing has been improved with white and color matching for the vehicle cameras. This results in more natural videos when using the vehicle cameras on screen and when using Surveillance Mode or Dashcam. The clarity of the videos has also been significantly improved in this update, resulting in clearer videos when the vehicle cameras are used.
- The rear camera view has been improved by cropping parts of the video to minimize distractions. The trunk of the vehicle is no longer visible in the upper part of the video, and the bumper is now barely visible at the bottom of the rear camera.
- Special release notes for service mode have been added with this update. When entering Service Mode, "Release Notes" can now be tapped at the top of the screen to view all of the Service Mode enhancements in this vehicle update. Each new feature is listed with a description and which vehicles it applies to. Tapping on the blue service mode section name will take you to the corresponding service mode section. In service mode, the status of the vehicle's electronic control unit (ECU) can now be displayed under Infotainment > ECU Update Status.
Note: Service mode is a special vehicle mode that is usually reserved for service technicians, but anyone can access it. It is used to display information and test various aspects of a vehicle.
- New Model S/X: Tesla has changed the volume display in the instrument cluster from horizontal to vertical.
Availability of individual updates may still vary by model and location.
