In addition to the new Quicksilver, which has already been produced in Grünheide for several weeks, Tesla now seems to produce the new red "Midnight Cherry Red" and deliver it to the first customers / delivery centers. In the last few days, several trucks with the new color have already been spotted on European highways. These are both the Long Range model and the Performance model. The new colors have special multi-layer paint coatings that can change depending on the incidence of light. This is more than clear from the pictures taken. Depending on the sun and shade, the color looks completely different. "From bright highlights to dark tones, our multi-layer paint finish adds a new dimension that subtly changes with the curvature as you walk around your Tesla," Tesla said on its website.
The Midnight Cherry Red paint is unique, but comes with a hefty price tag. For example, it currently retails for 3200 euros. Producing the next new color makes it clear that production at the Gigafactory Berlin is in full swing. Last month, the Gigafactroy reached the milestone of 4,000 Tesla produced Model Y per week. The only final color missing is the familiar Deep Blue Metallic, which is expected in the summer.
