Since the introduction of the new Tesla Model 3 "Highland", Tesla fans have been eagerly awaiting a particularly powerful variant above the Long Range. Until now, it was unclear whether such a variant would be available in the future. But now there is exciting news, because a look at the updated parts catalog suggests that a "performance version" is in the starting blocks.
The indications of the more powerful version are promising. Larger brakes, a different suspension and previously unknown rims were discovered in the parts catalog. A special badge also arouses curiosity - at first glance it resembles the Plaid badge, but a closer look reveals that it could be the Ludicrous Speed image we know from the legendary movie "Space Balls FIlm".

What exactly does "Ludicrous" mean? It's a synonym for an impressive speed upgrade Tesla is offering for some of its models. Tesla has a habit of incorporating special terms into the world of cars, and "Space Balls" is no exception. The connection between the movie and Tesla is already evident in the plaid design of the Model S/X.
But that's not all. In Palo Alto, California, a camouflaged Tesla Model 3 was discovered in Palo Alto, California, which provides further clues to the new high-performance variant. The rims on this vehicle match those seen in the updated manual - obviously 20-inch rims and the same Pirelli tires as on the current Model 3 Performance.

The Rims match up to the ones we seen today in the Collision manual. Clearly 20" Rims; and same Pirelli tires on current M3P- Nic Cruz Patane (@niccruzpatane) October 19, 2023

But that's not all: there are pictures of a new Model 3 "Highland" that features a bonded carbon fiber spoiler. It is currently unclear whether this spoiler is part of the standard equipment of the new top model or whether it is an accessory.
